What to Carry

Documents:

  • Passport and copies of it for safety.
  • Visas and travel insurance details.
  • Copies of flight tickets, hotel confirmations, and other travel documents.

Comfortable Clothing:

  • Depending on the season, pack comfortable clothing that suits the weather. Layering is recommended, especially in countries like Switzerland where temperatures can change drastically. Carry a warm jacket for cooler evenings, especially in mountain regions like the Alps.

Footwear:

  • Bring comfortable walking shoes or sneakers for sightseeing, as many European cities are best explored on foot. You might also want to pack formal shoes if you plan to attend special events like a show in Paris.
    Power Adapter:
  • Europe uses Type C and F plugs (220-240V), so bring a universal travel adapter if your devices use different plug types.

Personal Medications:

  • Carry a basic first-aid kit and any prescription medications you might need, along with a copy of the prescription for travel.

Sunglasses and Sunscreen:

  • The sun can be quite strong, especially in Italy and Switzerland during summer. Protect your skin and eyes with sunscreen and sunglasses.

Reusable Water Bottle:

  • Europe has clean drinking water available almost everywhere, so carrying a reusable water bottle can help you stay hydrated and reduce plastic waste.

Small Backpack:

  • A light backpack or day bag is useful for carrying essentials (water, snacks, camera, etc.) during day trips.
